Research and Development
We have always been committed to exploring and sharing best practice in music education. In recent years we have been involved with action research projects such as the hugely successful Musical Futures programme, exploring young people's music-making in informal settings both within and outside of school.
Current Research
We are currently exploring the issue of transition in music education through the Youth Music funded Music Passport Project and the El Sistema system of music education with the setting up of an Early Years Orchestra in East Leeds.
