Professional Development for Teachers
As well as our ongoing Continuing Professional Development programme for all ArtFroms Musician Teachers, we also actively promote a range of professional development/ training opportunities in music education for music teachers and non specialist teachers in Leeds schools, including:
Key Stage 3 Music Strategy
The new KS3 Music strategy, which draws on the best practice of recent years was launched nationally in 2007. ArtForms musician teachers are training alongside high school music teachers to develop the strategy in Leeds schools. This has been already a highly useful process for helping school and visiting musicians to understand each other's work and to develop new and better coordinated work practices in classrooms and in small group learning.

Sing Up
Sing Up, which came out of the Music Manifesto, exists to ensure that singing is central to young people's lives, in primary schools, at home and in the wider community. They organise many training course and events for teachers and music practitioners. We work in close partnership with their Yorkshire office and often host Sing Up courses at our base at The West Park Centre in Leeds.
