Music
ArtForms Music is building on over 40 years' experience of working in schools to provide a wide range of learning experiences for children and young people. As a professional body our musician teachers are subject to School Teacher's Pay and Conditions, carefully recruited and trained in up-to-date methods of instrumental and vocal teaching. Heads of Departments are responsible for quality assurance and every effort is made to ensure that children and young people have the best possible musical experience.

In addition to providing instrumental and vocal lessons for over 7500 pupils in Leeds schools, we also offer National Curriculum support as well as Accompanying Pianists and Ensemble Conductors.
Curriculum Enrichment activities include extended music projects, a range of world music workshops and resources, concerts by the Musician Teacher Orchestra and performances and workshops by the Leeds Woodwind Trio.
Out-of-school music experiences are provided through the City of Leeds Youth Music groups (CLYM), Music Clubs and community Music Centres (also open to adults). The Gordon Parry Centre is a unique resource, particularly for those with learning difficulties.
We have been awarded funding in recent years for research and development projects such as Musical Futures, Music Passport transition activities, Find Your Talent (for all art forms) and working with high school teachers in the new KS3 Music strategy.
