Happy Mapping
A KS2 cross arts project promoting emotional health and well being
Invisible Flock, an artist collective, will be taking over an empty retail space in Leeds City Centre during the summer of 2010. They will be turning this space into the 'Bring the Happy' shop where members of the public will be invited to contribute happy memories to a giant 3D interactive map of Leeds.
Working in partnership with Invisible Flock, ArtForms is offering ten Leeds primary schools the chance to get involved in this new work through an education project called 'Happy Mapping'. Working through drama, visual art and digital media,KS2 children will explore concepts of individual and community happiness to create their own large scale artistic map.
The 2 day programme is being subsidised byArts Council England and ArtForms and will cost £450.
