Young fans lend Rhinos their voices
Pupils from Bramley St Peters school impress the crowds at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.
Leeds Rhinos had extra special vocal support on Sunday June 20th. The Welsh are famous for their choirs, however the Rhinos had unearthed an incredible musical talent from the pupils of Bramley St Peter's School when they took on Welsh side Crusaders RL at Headingley Carnegie,.
The Leeds Rugby Foundation community team were treated to a specially produced song in the club's honour on their recent visit to the school. Their ArtForms music teacher had taught every pupil in the school a song about a rhino. Ronnie the Rhino was so impressed, they decided to give the children the chance to not only show off their new rugby skills but also their singing voices.
Commenting on the musical and rugby talents from Bramley St Peter's, Leeds Rugby Foundation Community Coach Jonny Wainhouse said, 'The kids are brilliant with their singing and when I heard the song I knew that we had to get them down to a match so everyone could hear how good they are. Some of the children will also be playing at half time on Sunday so that just goes to show that it is not only the Welsh who can be good at singing and playing rugby!'
